Hair Dreams Coming True

“I can't begin to explain how grateful I am that I ended up there. My own hair has become stronger and longer and no longer breaks. Every time I leave I have peace of mind for 3 months.”

aEver since I was a little girl I dreamed of full, long hair... Whenever my hair got longer, we always used scissors because it always became very thin. I haven't often had it longer than shoulder length. As I got older, my hair also started to turn a darker blonde. When I was 14 I colored my hair for the first time.

I had to and would stay blonde. I did this secretly in the bathroom and afterwards my mom was of course in shock. It turned out yellow and it wasn't the Paris Hilton blonde I had dreamed of. Mom took me to the hairdresser and since then I have bleached it every month. Which of course makes your hair even more brittle…

When I was 17 I decided to go for a short cut and a year later I shaved off the sides like Rihanna. I wasn't a punk by the way, but I thought that was 'mega dig'. Because I had such white hair, I often put a color shampoo on it: I have had all the colors of the rainbow: pink, green, blue, pink... I also sometimes went back to my natural color or brown to give my hair a bit of shine. let it go'. That never lasted long :-) I thought I was supposed to be blonde!

In 2014 I decided to grow out my undercut. Done with shaving, I wanted it back longer and fuller. Of course it's slow… Very slow… I hated it. I knew what extensions were but thought they would look 'fake' and make my hair even more brittle. That was true... Because I went to the wrong hairdresser. By trying out the extensions I realized what it could do for me. Longer and fuller hair was possible. And it made me so much more confident. That is, if the wind wasn't blowing too hard and I didn't put my hair up in a ponytail. Then you could see them sitting there. I accepted that it could destroy my hair.

So I started looking for another hairdresser because it was obviously not the intention that my hair would break or that you would be criticized for the fact that you saw them... It was a super coincidence that I ended up at Rana Hair. I had an instant connection with Carolien and Bastiaan, who run the business. I was immersed in a new world. How they treat their customers is something I have not yet experienced. You will feel like a real princess and will be taken step by step through the process of making the right choice for your hair. Because everyone is unique and extensions should be too. They go through the different options and explain to you in detail the advantages and disadvantages associated with them.

What a relief. I felt very comfortable. I chose the Invisilocks and the color matched my hair perfectly. I also took an Olaplex treatment that visibly made my own hair stronger. I have been a customer of RANA Hair for 2 years now and have had many different lengths. In the meantime, I am no longer a blondie but a brownie! I have undergone a transformation in many areas and your hair is also part of your identity so it could not be left behind.

I can't begin to explain how grateful I am that I ended up here. My own hair has become stronger and longer and no longer breaks. Every time I leave I have peace of mind for 3 months. I can also brave the wind without worry or put my hair in a ponytail without anyone noticing that I have extensions. I LOVE IT. And especially because we often go for shorter hair, everyone ALWAYS freaks out when I say I have extensions. That's the best part, nobody sees it! And if they don't follow me on Instagram, they'll never know :-)
